Helping to keep families connected

Welcome
Funeral Streaming Service
Professional Funeral Live Streaming Service by professional broadcast cameraman John Gurd based in Dorset and covering Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire.
Professional funeral live streaming (webcasting)
Funeral Streaming Service offers live streaming, or webcasting, which is the real-time upload of filmed content.
In this case, we’ll film the funeral service and broadcast it live via a private link. We’ll use up to four mobile 4G connections via a bonded encoder, as used in TV news to broadcast the funeral live from Dorset, Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire, or Hampshire.
There are many open video platforms that anyone can use for live streaming. However, if recorded or copyrighted music is used, it can cause the stream to be blocked due to copyright infringement. At Funeral Streaming Service, we use a professional content delivery network (CDN) to make our stream available to view over the internet via a wide range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers. We even pay for a PRS licence to ensure all legal requirements are met for any professional music used.
Unlike many public video streams, funeral live streams (webcasting) are kept private. Funeral Directors and families share a secure login and password page to restrict access, and these details are only shared with invited guests to ensure that your loved one’s service remains as private as you want it to be.
An additional benefit of live streaming is that the service can be recorded at the same time. This means that if people are unavailable at the time of the service or have a poor internet connection, they can watch the funeral after it’s over. The stream remains available via the link for three months.
Funeral Streaming Service has been streaming funerals since 2017 and now has many of the South West’s leading funeral directors using our services directly. We continually reinvest in our business, having added a satellite internet connection to our equipment for robust connection in poor reception areas, at an additional cost from our normal fees. The cameras used by Funeral Streaming Service are approved by BBC and ITV, and we use professional sound equipment, not consumer Wi-Fi-based systems. Funeral Streaming Service offers a truly professional service.
